Yanci Na” (pronounced Yan-chee Na) is a term in the dialect of Hausa (West Africa) that means “my freedom.” Owner Natalie started Yanci Na after spending three months in the hospital on life support due to a rare condition. She then learned she was permanently disabled. First, she had to learn to become one with self. She realized how truly blessed she was, having survived something with a 90% mortality rate! That eventually led her to metaphysical stones and jewelry. Initially, she had no intention of creating a jewelry business. She used the stones as a reminder to stay grounded in her truth and to keep her eyes on the prize. Everywhere she went, people were asking her who made my jewelry and continuously encouraged her to sell the stones. She took it as a sign. She knew she’d have to find the best quality and then make it so affordable that people couldn’t help but to want to buy it. No plastic or acrylic beads would do. She researched stones for close to a year before she purchased a single one and then researched where they were made and crafted before she ever sold any. She found the highest-quality jewelry wire she could find. Naturally, she stumbled upon charm bracelets and started to make those as well for the people out there who just wanted something pretty. Little by little, she started building her own tiny empire with no help, no money, and no resources. Yanci Na is Natalie’s way of spreading love throughout God’s beautiful universe.
