Westchester On the Level with Narog and Aris opens the Wednesday, August 6, 2014th broadcast day at 10:00 a.m. EDT with Rising Media Group Editor Dan Murphy. At 10:30 we speak with Fr. Rif’at Bader on the day of the Feast of the transfigurationand on the global day of prayer for Christians in Iraq. Fr. Bader is the Priest of Latin Patriarchate, Director of the Catholic Center for Studies and Media based in Amman, Jordan. He is also the Founder and Editor of www.abouna.org (in Arabic) and www.en.abouna.org (English). Our discussion is to first learn of the Christian communities that have survived two millennia only to fear being forced to convert, pay taxes for not converting, to flee, or face death under the tumultuous political changes that demonize the Christendom by labeling them Nazarene, a term meant to demean and denigrate Christians as the last infidels among the mist of Islam. We explore the world few know, attempt to understand the changes that have created a schism among people the various peoples who believe in G_d, yet praying to him under different names. At 11:30 a.m.., we turn to screenplay writer Joseph Nasser, who’s routes stretch to Jordan, rested in Yonkers for awhile on his journey to California where the family has gathered to build a new life.
