Charlotte Gossett Navarro, MSW, Regional Outreach Senior Associate with The New Yorkers for Real Immigration Reform effort held viewing parties in Manhattan, Westchester, and Long Island for community members to watch and listen to President Obama make a historic announcement on Thursday, November 20th at 8:00 p.m. The President detailed his plans to take executive action to provide administrative relief to millions of immigrants. The expectation is that such relief will be a program that offers a temporary solution for millions of families and workers around the country, offering protection from deportation and work authorization. We will learn of her reaction to President Obama’s announcement from 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. EST.
