Jordan Ahnquist, (www.jordanahnquist.com), the Broadway actor playing the role of the owner of the hair salon "Shear 'Madness", impressed me as the lead protagonist among an ensemble of interesting and engaging actors whose comedic routine depicting the aloofness of a "typical" New Yorker is familiar in its delightful interpretation that defines us to one extent or another. The stereotypical demeanor of the characters is eclipsed by their fast paced wittiness.

The most intriguing aspect of the ensemble, among whom are Kate Middleton, no, not that Kate Middleton, Ethan Dubin, Jordan Ahnquist, Adam Gerber, Patrick Noonan, and Lynne Wintersteller, is their seemless performance of avant-garde German playwrite, Director, and author Paul Pörtner. Pörtner was captivated by the charm of the commedia dell'arte. This led to his creating "Scherenschnitte", the play upon which "Shear Madness" is based, back in 1963. There was no evidence of an archaic effort to translate the author's work word for word from German to English, instead it was the concept that endured and is presented with vibrancy on the stage. It is a comedy and murder mystery. A definite delight.

We explore the interactive discourse between the actors on stage and the theater goers. Is this a hat tip to the days of Shakespeare? Attend the interview, join in the exploration with Jordan Ahnquist at 10am.

Yonkers Tribune Publisher Hezi Aris will engage in the latest local, national and international news with analysis over issues that impact Westchester County from 10:30am to 12Noon.
