WESTCHESTER, NY -- September 27, 2016 -- How did Dr. Richard Cirulli, an economics statistic professor transition into that of a playwright? The New Stage Players which he founded focus their artistic attention over mental illness. Lead Actress Dr. Benna Strober, who plays the role of Dee, is also a child psychologist. She will take inquiry over issues involving psychology this Wednesday, September 28, 2016. We learn the inspiration for this stage performance and how the power of the stage is a pertinent medium for shedding light on how untreated mental illness affects not only its victims, but their family and loved ones

“Via Delorosa” is set during a time of rebellion, youthful angst, prejudice, drugs, rock and roll, the sexual revolution, and changing societal mores. It also examines the underlying personal issues of deception, doubt, entrapment, fears, prejudice, and eventual painful liberation. Don't miss it! The play’s first reading will be held at the White Plains Performing Arts on October 3, at 7:00pm.
