While each will respectively speak to issues relevant to their communities, federal conduct will have an inordinate impact on each community to some degree or another. Each will need to contend with the FCC’s repeal of Net Neutrality overturned today. Concern over how national tax restructuring legislation may become an unexpected concern. At issue is how tax deductions expected not to be deductible may impact homeowners. Will the anticipated tax structure undermine past home equity investment accumulations on property because the housing market can no longer support present valuations without tax subsidies. For communities that have not engaged reassessment is it still prudent to do so? Tax restructuring legislation is expected before Christmas.
