WESTCHESTER, NY — Ossining Village Mayor Victoria Gearity engages in discussion this Friday, January 26th over the most pressing concerns that have impacted her office, especially the on again off again deal that has tied the Promise to the Dreamers with the security issue along the southern border with Mexico. Has the lack of a “deal” caused even further anguish among the immigrant population in Ossining? This segment airs from 10-10:30am

Yonkers City Council President Mike Khader, Esq. speaks to the challenges he faces and the concerns he knows will impress his office and that of his fellow Yonkers Council membership. At issue most pertinent to the City Council will be the recent 5-year contract afforded the Yonkers Board of Education Superintendent. Will the Board of Education Trustees’ approved contract need to gain support of the City Council’s passage of the budget? Where does Council President Mike Khader stand on issues... transparency... why are Yonkers City Council meetings not repeated on Channel 78 whereas everything else is? When will this be corrected? Should the Yonkers City Council be requested to extend or rescind term limits, where does he stand on the issue? We also ask if a referendum is a legal option or a concept that is being mentioned but is in reality a non-starter and the only legal pathway in 2018 is for a majority, and not even a super majority vote for City Council     passage? What is the fiscal impact of a third 5erm on Office? The cost of a pension, for example. We seek clarification of legal options and conduct. This segment airs 10:30-11am.

Yonkers Tribune Editor-at-Large Hezi Aris speaks to hyperlocal, county, state, national and international news with relevant analysis from 11am-12Noon.
