WESTCHESTER, NY — Ossining Mayor Victoria Gearity opens the broadcast day this Friday morning sharing some fascinating connections Ossining has with the Old World, that is, Ireland, Limerick to be exact. She shares the visit of the Honorable Former Mayor of Limerick Joe Harrington and his family, involved in the restoration of Glen House School in Lyreacrompane. It seems they discovered a connection between the historic school house and Sing Sing Correctional Facility. Representatives of Sing Sing Correctional Facility and the Sing Sing Prison Museum Board, and Ossining Town Supervisor Dana Levenberg joined Mayor Gearity attended to celebrate the findings. We learn how the historical divide from years ago may engaged two communities with the respect only rediscovery can heal. But there is more to celebrate. Tune in from 10-10:30am.

Yonkers Tribune Editor-at-Larger Hezi Aris follows with the latest hyperlocal, county, state, national and international news with commensurate analysis. Listen from 11am-12Noon.
