In this weeks episode of Note by Note we will talk about Bill Withers. Mr. Withers was an american singer-songwriter and musician. Youngest of 6 children Bill was born in a small mining town in West Virginia. Son of a miner, he joined the Navy at age 17 where he spent 9 years while he discovered his interest in singing and song writing. He then worked in several different jobs while made demo tapes with his own money and passed them out. Even after his first hit "Ain't No Sunshine" he refused to resign from his job stating the music industry was a fickle industry. Learn all about his rise to stardom this week starting at 4pm est
