In this weeks episode of Note by Note radio show we will be talking with AL MAL. AL MAL aka AdotWAKE is a full time internationally touring tiny home based independent hip hop artist. Born on Long Island New York, he was raised all over NY and the 5 boroughs but he called Philly his home for over a decade before starting his tiny home adventure.  He has a unique sound rooted strongly in classic hardcore, conscious hip hop and he uses no profanity in his music just as some of the greats before him like the legendary Rakim.  His sound is said to be similar to Vinnie Paz, NAS, WU-TANG, AOTP, or Immortal Technique but he's still known for his own raw, artistic east coast style. To date, AL MAL has released a total of 6 different projects including a mixtape, several collab albums, and 2 full length studio albums.  His 1st studio album titled "AL MAL", and his latest 2018 release titled "Struggle Strength".  He has worked with popular artists such as Twiztid, Non Phixion, Madchild, Slaine, Slum Village and the list goes on.  His most recent international solo tour included headline shows in Las Vegas, Toronto, Philadelphia, New York and many other cities throughout the US & Canada. However, things haven't always been going this good for your favorite insomniac...He was born to 2 addicts that both got caught up in the system in the thick of the New York crack era.  Both of his parents struggled with addiction until their dying days.  Starting at a young age AL MAL not only grieved the loss of both of his parents, but the loss of many of his family & close friends over the years to murder, suicide, overdose, disease, and unfortunate accidents.  These challenges and more that AL MAL had to Struggle through, he feels ultimately are what gives him his Strength!  Please tune in to this weeks show as we're sure it will be great!!!
