Weekend Sports Huddle with Tom Pollin and Dave Holcomb

WRSP presents the 29th weekly episode of Weekend Sports Huddle with co-hosts Tom Pollin and Dave Holcomb.

Tom will be flying a football intensive show solo this morning starting with the College Football Playoffs that begin this afternoon. Alabama is heavily favored over Washington in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl while Ohio State will take on Clemson in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl. Tom will also preview two top matchups on New Years day, the Sugar Bowl between Auburn and Oklahoma and arguably the best of the non-playoff bowls, The Rose Bowl between Big Ten Champion Penn State and Pac 12 powerhouse, the USC Trojans.

NFL Week 17 discussion kicks off with the firing of Rex and Rob Ryan by the Buffalo Bills last week. Tom will discuss why this move was made with one game still remaining on the Bills' schedule, hopefully with input from Dave Holcomb who hopes to be available via phone for this segment. What's ahead for the Bills and the Ryan brothers will also be explored. Tom will also dive into the mutiny by the Minnesota Vikings' defensive backs last weekend and how that may affect head coach Mike Zimmer and the team in the offseason.

Tom will finish the show reviewing the various playoff scenarios that will be playing out with the NFL tomorrow. The AFC teams are set with only seeding to decide. There's still plenty of uncertainty to be had on the NFC side of Week 17 action and the Sunday night showdown between the Packers and Lions will play a major role in deciding who's in and who's out. Tom will finish the show with Nostrathomas Predicts. He turned in three winners last week and has another solid three lined up for Week 17.
