Hockey and baseball will be dominating the conversations for the next few weeks and this morning the NHL opens the show. The Stanley Cup Playoffs begin next week and one of the top teams in the league, either the Pittsburgh Penguins or Columbus Blue Jackets, will get bounced after one round of play.Holcomb will have some strong opinions on the NHL and how they allow this to happen.
Also in hockey news It was announced on Monday that the NHL will not interrupt their schedule to send players to the 2018 Olympics in South Korea. Is the league checking themselves into the boards again and what will an Olympics hockey competition look like without some of the top players in the world participating?
Once Dave and Tom finish with the league overall they'll discuss whether the Penguins have a chance to successfully defend their 2016 championship without top defenseman Kris Letang. Then they'll take a look to the Western Conference where the Blackhawks hold the No. 1 seed. Who will challenge them as they make their charge to the finals?
The guys will wrap-up the hour talking baseball as the Cubs and Pirates are now one week into their seasons. They'll also dig into the mystery of the baseball grabbing chest protector of Yadier Molina.
