Weekend Sports Huddle with Tom Pollin & Dave Holcomb

WRSP Radio presents the 50th weekly episode of Weekend Sports Huddle with co-hosts Tom Pollin and Dave Holcomb.

The Eastern Conference Final ended in dramatic fashion Thursday night with the Pittsburgh Penguins winning in double overtime and earning their second straight trip to the Stanley Cup Final. Pittsburgh has now been to the final six times in the last quarter century, including four times in the last decade. Our hosts will discuss the historic significance of the Penguins' latest achievement, and what it would mean for the franchise and captain Sidney Crosby if Pittsburgh is able to beat the Nashville Predators in the final.

In the second half of the hour, our hosts will return to baseball, where the Pirates continue to struggle. With Jameson Taillon out with a cancer diagnosis, the Pirates have struggled to find consistency in their starting rotation and remain in last place.

If time permits, our hosts will also discuss the latest news for the Chicago Cubs at the lead-off position and preview the NBA Finals.
