Weekend Sports Huddle with Tom, Hunter & Dave

WRSP Radio presents the ninth episode of the second year of Weekend Sports Huddle with co-hosts Tom Pollin, Hunter Hodies and producer Dave Holcomb.

Things are really heating up in the NL Central. The St. Louis Cardinals have pulled to within one game of the Chicago Cubs, but the Pittsburgh Pirates are just three games back as well. It's anybody's division, and in the middle of August, the war of attrition is starting to take effect as both Willson Contreras and Andrew McCutchen suffered injuries this week.

The rest of the league other than the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals played their first preseason game this week, which means Chicago Bears fans got their first look at Mitch Trubisky. They liked what they saw. How long can the Bears coaching staff keep him on the bench if Mike Glennon is struggling as the team's starter?

Our hosts will discuss other major NFL news as well, including Ezekiel Elliott's suspension and the Sammy Watkins trade.

Finally, to wrap up the show, Tom, Hunter and Dave will debate what UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen had to say about college athletics and secondary education and the reaction to his comments this week.
