WRSP Radio presents the 33rd episode of the second year of Weekend Sports Huddle with co-hosts Tom Pollin, Hunter Hodies and producer Dave Holcomb.
It's the final Sunday of January, and while the NFL season is winding down, our hosts will start this episode with baseball. Special guest and longtime Pittsburgh sports reporter John Perrotto will join the show to break down the 2018 MLB Hall of Fame voting results.
Chipper Jones, Jim Thome, Vladimir Guerrero and Trevor Hoffman were elected into the Hall this past week, but Perrotto left one of them off his list. He will explain why, what qualifications he uses in his election process and all of our questions in regards to the future candidacy of players such as Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Edgar Martinez, Mike Mussina, Curt Schilling and others.
In the second half of our show, our hosts will begin to look ahead to Super Bowl LII. The New England Patriots will be playing in an unprecedented 10th Super Bowl and hope to tie the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most championships since during the Super Bowl era. But Holcomb will explain why now isn't the time to be jealous, as the legacy of the Steelers 1970's dynasty is secure.
It's all coming up on Weekend Sports Huddle. We want to make you part of the show. Call in a 516-387-1417 or tweet @wkdsportshuddle.
