What Is Salvation?
Definition
1. Means to be delivered or preserved from something.
2. To be made whole, made safe, preserved from destruction.
3. Spiritual and eternal deliverance granted by God to those who
accept His conditions of repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus
Christ in whom it is obtained (Acts 4: 12) Acts 4:12King James Version (KJV) 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
4. Escape eternal punishment or judgment.
Salvation is the act of being made free from sin, changing from our present state of mind, will ambition, heart, direction, habits and pleasures.
Romans 10:9-10,13 King James Version (KJV) 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
