At the age of 3, Ed Hajim was kidnapped by his father, driven cross-country, and told his mother was dead. Shortly after, his dad left him behind and Ed grew up in orphanages and foster homes, with no mother or father.

Ed Hajim, the son of a Syrian immigrant, is a seasoned Wall Street executive with more than 50 years of investment experience. He has held senior management positions with a number of the top investment firms before becoming chairman and CEO of Furman Selz. Ed is now the chairman of High Vista, a Boston-based money management company.

In 2015, Ed received the Horatio Alger Award, given to Americans who exemplify the values of initiative, leadership, and commitment to excellence and who have succeeded despite personal adversities.

Ed joins us today to share his inspirational story of rising from dire childhood circumstances to achieve professional success and personal fulfillment as an American financier and philanthropist. Visit www.edhajim.com.
