Let's talk about the news headlines, let's talk about current events, and let's talk with our special guests Joe and Margrit Fahan.  Want to know what it is like to fly a wide-body jet around the world for a living?  Don't miss the conversation on the next Andy and Amanda Show.

Joe and Margrit,  both flew the Airbus A330 for Delta Air Lines as a husband and wife Captin and First Officer.    Margrit , well qualified to be a Captin herself, was the most senior first officer at the Kennedy A330 hub for Delta Airlines.  Capt. Joe Fahan has been a pilot for over 36 years. Commercial airline pilots must retire at age 65, and Fahan was a little over a year away from retirement when Covid-19 hit. Air travel basically ground to a halt, creating a major crisis for the industry.  First Officer Margrit Fahan, Joe's wife and co-pilot has been flying for 35 years. In the last six years of their career,  the two have shared the flight deck  and  witnessed the devastating effects of coronavirus on her industry. "I think the airlines fell back to a 5% capacity, 5% of their operation," said Margrit.

Margrit still had a few more years of flying ahead of her and was not ready to retire -- but she did.  Join the conversation at 515-605-9888.

More commentary on the headlines, more laughs and more talk.  It's the Andy and Amanda Show!
