- Fed Chair Jerome Powell Says Higher Interest Rates Could Cause a Recession..(Kinda thought that we were pretty much in one?)

- House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California and House Minority Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana announced during a closed-door conference meeting on Wednesday that they are both a "no" on the Senate's bipartisan gun deal. (Will you folks please vote them out of office?  Really now!)
