The Transition from the 44th to the 45th - The People have Spoken

As-Salaam-Alaikum,

At airtime, barring any extraordinary events, the nation will have undergone the reality of Donald J. Trump, as its 45th president, after eight years of Obama.

It goes without saying, there were and are, many who are elated, while others are profoundly dismayed, considering accusations of rigging and hacking, they feel, denied Mr. Obama’s heir-apparent, Hillary Clinton, the opportunity to become the first woman president.

The issues abound, with stakeholders and advocates on respective sides, vying for position, legitimacy and power.

While Mr Trump – President Trump, enjoys the fortune of having both houses of Congress in GOP hands, his sometimes contentiousness with the “Establishment” and uncertainty of his conservative credentials, has many, taking a wait and see approach.

So much on the table; the economy, religious liberty, illegal immigration, the Supreme Court and the Middle East. And let me remind, his cabinet posts have yet to be confirmed. But, you must appreciate the candor and focus, displayed by Dr. Ben Carson, Jeff Sessions and others, in dealing with insulting and irrelevant badgering.

It should be noted, that Vice-President Pence is to be sworn in by Justice Clarence Thomas, a bit of irony, given the “high tech lynching” they both endured, during the critical phases of their eventual ascents to power.
