As-Salaam-Alaikum / Blessed Ramadan!
1 billion strong and committed Muslims will begin the fast of the blessed month of Ramadan, so in advance, I want to pray for all, who fast, - and for anyone in general.
To hear that poverty in some respects, is a state of mind, is nothing new. For years, we’ve heard, even clergy, decry habits of poor people (lack of moral values, wasteful spending, no incentive to get out of poverty),
Does the book and phrase, "As a Man Thinketh”, resonate with any of us?
Of course, we recognize that in any society, there have been the “haves” and “have nots”, the latter, at times, being the convenient victims and fodder of the former.
Why is it then, so irritating, when Dr. Benjamin Solomon Carson said recently, “poverty is largely a state of mind”. And, to be clear, coming from a man who grew up poor.
As expected, backlash from the liberals. Makes we wonder, if they somehow, benefit from poor people’s continuance in thinking, breathing and remaining in a state of spiritual, moral and physical poverty.
Hillary Clinton, at Wellesley College; Friday, confirms who fortunate we are, that she lost in 2016. She said, recalling who she is, and what she believes, helped her cope with her devastating reality. Is she admitting that being a liar and a crook, fuels her?
She also told the graduates, “trolls galore” will call them [women] “nasty women”. Be reminded, the organizers of the nasty, vulgar, evil, satanic and godless “Woman’s March”, who called themselves, "nasty women”. So, is she referring to them, as trolls?
Suffice to say, we’re geared up for spirited discussion (though, I must advise, as it is Ramadan, I will be scaling down my tone, a bit).
