As-Salaam-Alaikum,
We are almost 1/2-way through the month of Ramadan, whereby Muslims (and others, participating) devote the daylight hours to abstaining from [physical] nourishment and intimate relations with one's spouse. Time is also devoted to more intense reading of the Holy Qur'an, prayer, charity and overall reflection and introspection.
Critical Discourse is pleased to invite Imam Adlib Rashid, of Masjid Muhshi-Khalifah, of Brooklyn, New York, who will walk us through the origins, meanings and deeper insights into why we undergo this disciple, the intent in mind, and what we hope and pray for, from this month, and beyond.
We will also touch up on some of the continually, rapid developments in politics and social dynamics.
Hope you can join us.
