As-Salaam-Alaikum,

Last Saturday, I’d received word that the iconic and most controversial entertainer and activist, Dick Gregory, was in the hospital, but not in grave condition.  The next day, we all learned, later that day, he’d passed away.

My own feelings about Gregory were mixed. I highly respected his challenging us to think way outside the box, particularly when it came to the mainstream media. He covered topics, such as the JFK assassination (in fact, I recall, it was he, who publicly, made the case, of a possible conspiracy, which to this day, persists, in the eyes of many), 911 and the Jonestown mass-suicides/murders.

On the other hand, I felt that his rhetoric was too far-reaching, more along the line of supposition, than fact, and I did get the sense, he was more of a left-wing, ideologue.

And, he was an advocate of healthy eating, notwithstanding his involvement with the Bahamian Diet.

Indeed, a man, whose life is worth examining, and learning from.

In contemporary politics, President Trump, at a rally in Phoenix, Arizona, spoke on a number of issues, not excluding race and domestic security.

The day before, he gave a major address, stating his intention to add more troops to Afghanistan. What was striking to me is how Democrats, like Nancy Pelosi, complained that he didn’t provide more details, on the strategy. This convinces me, beyond a shadow of a doubt, they want this president to fail, even at the expense of the lives of the American military. Wherever you may stand on this war, who in their right mind, would broadcast before the entire world, such information?

Of course, later in the evening, is the “fight” between Floyd Mayweather and Connor McGregor. We’ll definitely discuss this, next Saturday.

Make sure to tune in, this Saturday, August 26, 2017
