As-Salaam-Alaikum (God’s Peace be upon You),
Borders vs. Boarders, one, a line of demarcation, which marks the boundaries of a country, city or even real estate entity, the other, a person wishing to take temporary or permanent residence in a locale, which has already been defined by borders. Sometimes, the boarders try to overstay their welcome, if invited to stay at all, which forces the maintainer of the border, to enact stricter means, to prevent these boarders from crossing the border, in the first place.
This is pretty much what we have today, at the southern border, where scores of people, south of the USA border, try to gain entry, ostensibly, seeking asylum from their countries of origin.
Of late, we’ve been hearing about how the Trump Administration has been separating children from their families, so, he signed an Executive Order, preventing this.
Are we supposed to believe that the democrats are so concerned about separation of families? I seem to recall, when Obama was president, scores of children being sent to the borders, alone and without parental accompaniment. How perceptions change, once the “bad cop” is in office.
Of course, we know it’s all about forcing the Trump administration to just open the floodgates, and allow anyone to come and live here, with no challenge, whatsoever. In the meantime, I’m still trying to find that other country south of the USA border, which is so accommodating to boarders, wishing to, as the announcer on “The Price is Right”, would say, “come on down (or up)”.
Hope you can join us!
