titles give artificial protection
That's great and we are brothers and sisters to one another in the Religion. And please don’t overdo these fancy titles of address, because what they do, they kill the Islamic spirit of the community, by big titles and addressing people always by titles. My brother called me the other day, and he was talking fast, we grew up together you know, and he said "Wallace so, excuse me for calling you Wallace", I said for what I’m glad to know you still feel that way about me. yes, that's right, what I'm getting at, you don't even have to say brother; if the brothers name is Willie say "Willie come here yes, that will really bring us into the naturalness of the faith and the religion. Yes, so don't feel you have to say Brother.'
Prophet Muhammad didn't say brother every time he called somebody, and even when addressing him they didn't always say Messenger of G’d, Rasul Allah, sometimes they just called him by his name Ok, so let us do that; from now on if you say 'Brother Wallace and somebody gives you trouble, say well he’s the one who told us to say that, that's right so talk to him, he is the one who told us to say that.
These titles are to put artificial protection up, we don't want any artificial protection, we want it from the heart.
