Mr Ron Simmons the Olympic winner is making a film about the projects. Cabrini Green like most projects in the 1970s were homes communities with families and mothers, father's and children. Cabrini Green like most projects in America had drugs planted in them and now is what we know today. Gangs and drugs. There are still good people in the housing projects but the drugs and gangs are still there in some places. Cabrini Green has alot of people that came from there. Such as the gentleman who made Good Times the television show. The film Mahogany with Mrs Diana Ross was made there. Listen to the interview to see who else grew up there you will be surprised. White people didn't like to see black people working and with families so they did what they could to destroy it. But that's America for you.
