Shonzarelly is as cool as his name suggests. His southern drawl sounds familiar, even though it’s uniquely his own. From his laidback persona, one would never take him for such a performer. His confidence and stage presence give him a star quality that surpasses music. However, hailing from Baton Rouge, instead of New Orleans, there weren’t as many opportunities in the industry. So, Relly became a product of his environment, and unfortunately, spent his youth in and out of jail. The Third World section of North Baton Rouge is no walk in the park. He was inspired to rap at a house party when his brother, Mitch, rocked the mic. Also, stepfather, best known by Cadillac, kept classics from the 40’s & up jammin, day in and day out. He later teamed up with his brother, and two of his cousin to formed a group called Blood’s Thicker Than Water and even gained the attention of Cash Money Records. Being“hard-headed”, landed him in prison again, and again. His producer at the time, Greg Dukes, gave up on him, led him to give up on his dream. It took a negative to inspire him to get back on it. The flood of 2016 was the catalyst to his return. He is working as a member of the Section Boyz. Through the Section Boyz he met E.P.,aka Playa Pizzle, and became a force to be reckoned with. His single “Swagging My Step”, produced by Mouse On The Track, that’s catching ears throughout the south. The best part about it all is, Relly remains humble and driven with “Buzza Beata” as the mission.
