Jojopahmaria Nsoroma

Tonight, host Jojopahmaria Nsoroma is joined by her friend and mystical colleague, Reverend Gene Ferrara, to discuss the dire consequences of conditioning male children to shut down their emotions and “man-up!”  In addition to sharing contemporary evidence of how stuck emotions in men impact their lives and their families, Reverend Ferrara will discuss his own personal journey from a sensitive little boy who was prohibited to cry, to a mature man who has learned to embrace his emotional intelligence and steward a new age ministry called The Center for Conscious Living. Rev. Ferrara has been, for the past five years, the pastor of the Loving Spirit Community Church in Madison, Wisconsin, and four years ago, he opened Madison’s Center for Conscious Living (www.mylovingspirit.com), which is an eclectic spiritual community. He has been a dedicated teacher of positive thinking and spiritual practice for over ten years, although he began the study of theology at age 10 through the Catholic Church. During his 20’s, after graduating from Kent State University, and serving in the Vietnam War, he joined the San Francisco ashram of Guru Maharaji, where he studied Hindu theology and spiritual practice.  In his late thirties he began a prolonged study of Mystical Christianity through The Brotherhood of Christ and accepted an ordination into the ministry in 2003. In addition Rev. Ferrara is a student of African spiritual medicine, mentored by Jojopahmaria Nsoroma, which continues to this day.
