Big day for our show! We welcome the jazz singer & comedian The New York Times calls "every inch a star," Lea Delaria. The Times rated her 2001 album "Play It Cool" the "Best Jazz Album of 2001." Her second album, "Double Standards," reached number 6 on the Billboard Jazz chart. Lea made history as the first openly gay standup to perform on national television on The Arsenio Hall Show in 1993. Lea received the Obie and Drama Desk Awards in 1997 for her portrayal of Hildy in Broadway's "On the Town." She has also had stints on "One Life to Live" and "Law & Order." This true renaissance woman has gigs coming up in New York City, and they are not shows to be missed!
