Pozitively Dee HIV/AIDS Discussion Saturday, October 15th, 2016 at 4:30pm MST, 3:30pm PST, 5:30pm CT & 6:30pm EST call in and join the discussion 515-605-9375 or listen online www.blogtalkusa.com at the above times. We live in a society where people still call those diagnosed with HIV infections, dirty, not clean, sick, a victim, full blown AIDS and infected. Infectious can be a disease or virus that can be passed from person to person, but how many of you know that HIV cannot be transmitted from person to person today as long as you stay on your meds and become undetectable which means untransmittable. These words just help with the unwanted stigma that we face still today which makes it so hard for those diagnosed to disclose their HIV status. It keeps them locked in a box self-stigmatizing themselves I say that people are not dying from HIV, it’s the stigma that’s killing them. My guest will be Bruce Richman who has started a campaign called Prevention Access the campaign uses the words undetectable = untransmittable. I want you to call in join the talk and voice how you feel. Bruce wants you to understand that HIV is not a dirty word and is not being transmitted to anyone. Those diagnosed are in relationships with others who are HIV negative and are having babies living life just as well as anyone who is not diagnosed.
