Dr. Nuzhat Chalisa

Dr. Nuzhat Chalisa is a Clinical Endocrinologist. She consults on a wide variety of endocrine diseases, including, but not limited to diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, thyroid problems, and metabolic disorders. However, her primary research interest has been in the area of diabetes and obesity. She is actively affiliated with American Diabetes Association and currently serves as the Communications Director for Clinical Centers and Programs Interest Group Leadership Team.

Additionally, Nuzhat is the founder and president of the Kisat Diabetes Organization. A diabetes non-profit that focuses on the prevention of diabetes complications through early screening and education.   

In November 2020 she published a book on diabetes management, "Diabetes Beyond Numbers." This is a resource for those who want to learn about diabetes prevention and management.
