THIS WEEK: RESPECT Your TBI It was Confucius who said, “Respect yourself and others will respect you.” A common thread in all disability communities is the desire to be respected as individuals who want to be totally integrated into all aspects of society. Respect by definition is "a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements." We all have associated with people and things we have such high regard for in our lives…but what about respect for our TBIs? How challenging is it for you to respect yourself? Your own TBI? Do you feel respected by others? If not, how can you change that? Join Kevin tonight when he shares his own insights about respect and provides some tips on how to revere yourself which will help you fulfill your potential to have a FUNctional life as a TBI Thriver.
Tune in this week to add another perspective to your daily repertoire. If there is something in particular you would like to hear Kevin discuss, join us on Fridays and share in the chat room with the "Marvelous Maggie" (Kevin's 24/7 Partner and Professional Care Assistant)
