Years. 'Officially', 239 of them as America, the Land of the Free. Oddly, that would be how old the United States is, at least 13 former colonies on land 'borrowed' from the Native American folks, but that's another story. Let's be not just happy, but DAMNED WELL PROUD to be an American, uh, if you are one. Wanna join?
Tonight, let's discuss our country's tradition and how with brain injury we must adjust, or avoid. I choose the later - everyone seemed busy, so I was at PEACE. Besides, I HoverRound'ed up the south side of Milton, on top of the hill of my childhood. One other temporary 'guest' - Grandmother had brought 6 little American's. Times had changed, in more ways than the quite surroundings. The new-generation's 4th of July Freedom Day Celebratiion, had grown. A crisp clear night over Indiana's eastern sky's, and the 'small' altitude had not only allowed for Canal Town's show from 2-miles away (the reason for being there, I reckon), but Hagerstown's, New Castles, Centerville's, Richmond's (lighlly) and one more from the north, I figure the Modoc camp ground lake. Rock n' Roll the American way on my Ipod, and let's celebrate. Milton even had a talented display, somewhere near the river.
Seven firework displays in a slilght turn of the noggin', and of course a few multi flash 'bottle' rockets (yeah, fit one in a bottle, will ya!) from the highest peak in, in, uh, well closes to the front porch. It was dark atop 'Sherwood's Hill"...
I thouoght about the mixtuer of celebration festivities, bar-b-ques and booms and crowds. A little antsy last night, but calm mood today. At least I stared at something different than the wall. CALL ME, please. USA, USA, USA!!!
