All of a sudden, anyone who is connected to a traumatic Brain Injury, their life becomes a little MoCrazy. A Brain Injury does shut some doors, but it also opens doors. This show will be talking to survivors, caregivers, therapists, anyone immediately involved with a Brain Injury to learn different ways to overcome this struggle and walk through new doors. Every single person who had a Brain Injury has new doors opened for them, take a leap of faith and walk through those doors.
On August 13th I will talk with Jeanee Crane-Mauzy about her life as a sibiling of a TBI survivor.
Jeanee is a young professional skier. She was at the World Tour Finals, on April 11 2015 the day her sister, me, went into a coma. Jeanee gave me a hug the moment before I dropped into the run that changed my life.
Jeanee had to deal with the emotional turmoil of a tragic experience happening to her sibling. Jeanee had some very helpful ideas and she is going to share about what she taught me from doing my PT in the hospital with me, to managing my speaking gigs. Jeanee will also discusss what helped her emotionally to deal with all the different levels of recovery.
Jeanee will share her personal story about how she went back to being a professional skier. Jeanee will discuss what it's like when your sibiling is suddenly taken away and how you can help him or her, and yourself, get back to a lovely life. Jeanee will talk about creating the hashtag: MoCrazy Strong, what it means, and her future plans as a manager for Jamie Crane-Mauzy.
