Most of us, those with and without traumatic brain injuries, find it difficult to organize our thoughts to make an impact on friends, family and associates through speech. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to say what you want at any time and have others listen? This show will explore how to say what you desire, how to say it effectively, and how to decisively make your point.
This show features Mr. Tyree Johnson (a Distinguished Toastmaster) who has a variety of tips and strategies to help people express themselves more effectively. He comes to us from Toastmasters International - a group dedicated to delivering effective speeches and points of view. He was a past district governor in the San Francisco Bay Area of Toastmasters. He is able to help teach us to get our point across and help people overcome pschological barriers to commmunicating effectively.
It turns out that public speaking is one of the greatest fears we have. (Universally, it ranks just behind the fear of death.) Wouldn't you like to put that behind you? Not everyone is a born orator, but we can all learn to make a point convincingly, with a little practice. Now is the time to do this, and it's something from which everyone can benefit. Listen in and learn to communicate seemingly effortlessly.
