This show has a panel of 4 guests, each of whom experienced a different trauma under a special set of circumstances. They will discuss how their injury affects them daily, as well as how they each deal with their individual world. These 4 persons have different coping strategies to go on with their lives, and we will explore these distinctive choices in this episode. The 4 panelists come from different walks of life, and each has their own individual surrounding story.
The 1st is Holliday Cullimore who is plagued with frequent debilitating headaches. These episodes impact her life frequently and dealing with them requires set aside time and effort; during the rest of the day, she attends local cultural and intellectual events to expand and/or share her knowledge. Then there is Shannon Marie Hilbert who was in an accident over 30 years ago. She is a an optimistic person who has learned to write things down to help organize and remember them. She is another brain injury radio host! My 3rd guest is Mabel Rouse; she survived a stroke many years ago. She believes that exercise is the key to moving on. I met her in the local gym where we both work out. (She is a dedicated soul!) Lastly is Krystal Rene Sanford who was born with hydrocephalus. She has found that getting through life requires an organization and a method. She therefore concentrates on one thing at a given time and allows herself to finish one task before starting the next. She does a lot of talking and her mission is to expand knowledge of her disability.
It's important to settle on one path to get through our daily trials and tribulations. Here are 4 differing methods of dealing with the mass of information in our lives. Which can you relate to?
