Most people are familiar with the type of brain injury that results from the jarring, bruising, stretching, or tearing of the nerve tissue of the brain. This often results from an impact to the head that bashes the brain into the skull, and can happen after falls, sports injuries, and auto crashes.
When your head gets injured, however, the brain isn’t the only structure at risk as the injury is commonly absorbed into the skull itself. The bone molecules that make up the skull are normally arranged in a very specific geometric matrix. During injury, the bone expands, loses its normal resilience, and changes electrically. We treat the skull with a specialized form of manual therapy called Matrix Repatterning (MR), and then watch the improvement.
MR is a new way of fixing health problems based on the understanding that living tissue is constructed of a matrix of cells that interconnect mechanically and electrically. Each time you are injured, the force of impact is absorbed into this matrix, causing rigidity and electrical abnormalities. Skull injury can affect the brain, which could create all sorts of remote problems. We have found that the source of your problems is rarely where you feel the symptoms. In fact, we often treat problems all over people’s bodies by working on their heads.
MR uses gentle manual pressure to facilitate the discharge of the impact trauma stored in the skull or anywhere else in the body. This enables the skull to return to its natural state, which often quickly improves brain function, as well as patterns of pain and tension throughout the body.
