Patrick has a B.S. in accounting in 1977 and earned his JD from the University of Cincinnati in 1980. He enjoys working with entrepreneurs and has advised over 200 highly successful start-ups. His advice focuses on business value building, deal structuring and management, creative financing and tax and estate planning. Patrick is on the board of two of his most successful start-ups, serving as Chairman of the Board of a closely held $50 million medical consulting company and is a board member (including chairmanship of the audit and compensation committees) of a closely held $500 million real estate service business.

Patrick is also a business author, and has written five books for entrepreneurs, “Exit Velocity”, “Swing for the Fences”, “Accelerate”, “There is No US in Business” and the newly published “The 10 Biggest Business Mistakes and How to Avoid Them”.

Outside of business, as a long-time supporter of Boys Hope Girls Hope of Cincinnati, he served as a former board chair and also on the organization’s finance and development committees. He currently serves as Board Chairman for The Dynamic Catholic Institute and serves as a Board Trustee for CISE, as well as, a member of the Development Committee.

Patrick and Mary Jo, his wife of nearly 40 years, currently live in Cincinnati. They have three children and seven grandchildren.
