Tonight we will let the words of Fredrick Douglass, the former ambassador to Haiti spoken by James Earl Jones, come to life, first in his speech “What does July 4th have to do with the Negro.” then we will have a speech performed by the late  Ossie Davis, Jr. as Fredrick Douglass comments on Haiti.

These two short speeches will again enlighten us on the plight imposed on Haiti by the West and particularly France who is still made at losing the island nation and the defeat of their generals by Toussaint L'ouvertur and the Slave Holiday Americica calls the 4th of July!

“A lie will travel the world 1000 times before the truth puts its boot on.”

First a little background on the holiday that is celebrated in America this weekend.  Historically on July 2nd the Declaration of Independence was to be signed, but was signed on July 4th because the anti-slavery clause was removed.

July 4th is a slave holiday!
