This is an inter-generational program where youth can reason w/ elders to transform generational barriers, create lasting bonds & carry ancient wisdom forward to the next 7 generations. Sol Adventurers is a 501c3 empowering youth to discover their gifts, share them w/ the world, & gain strength through reconnecting w/ their community. We are bridging the gap b/t youth & elders. Our youth is MJ Forbes, a 19-year-old world-changer & graduate of Glenmuir HS in Clarendon, Jamaica is being mentored by Sol Adventurers. We launched a GoFundMe to get him to York University in Canada to fulfill his dreams of becoming a psychiatrist & helping his community. Our elder is Dr. Clinton Hutton, Professor of Caribbean Political Philosophy, Culture & Aesthetics lectures at The University of the West Indies & directs the Institute of Technological & Educational Research at Mico University College. He researches & publishes on enslaved Africans, African Caribbean spirituality, Jamaican music, Rastafari, Haitian Revolution, Morant Bay War, & more. He is an author, painter, & photographer. Our musical guest Pato Banton, internationally renowned Reggae Legend tops the global reggae & commercial charts, had 5 top 20 hits in Britain, Grammy Nomination, BBC Lifetime Achievement Award & is in the British Music Hall of Fame. He transcends music into youth outreach, teaching, writing curriculum to disabled youth & Global Spiritual Ministry. Based in CA, Pato records & tours the world, sharing a positive, fun & spiritual message while serving as a Teacher, Counselor, Mentor & Minister to all.
