Sol Adventurers Live, an inter-generational show provides an informal platform where youth reason w/ elders to transform generational barriers, create lasting bonds, and carry ancient wisdom forward to the next 7 generations. Sol Adventurers Foundation is a non-profit empowering youth to discover their gifts, share them w/ the world, and gain strength through reconnecting w/ their community. We are bridging the gap b/t youth and elders. Our elder, Makeda “Dread” Cheatom has dedicated her life to music, art, culture and wellness. She established WorldBeat Cultural Center, a non-profit multi-cultural center in Balboa Park where she is the Executive Director. Cheatom opened the first world-renowned Prophet Vegetarian restaurant in San Diego. She is the founder of WorldBeat Center’s Children’s Ethno-botany Peace Garden, an outdoor classroom to bring families outdoors and teach children of the origins of their food and science. Our youth is Maranatha Sainte, a college freshman currently attending Butte College in California. She has participated in a number of community service activities, performing arts/media/entertainment productions, “critical thinking and hand-on application” education as well as music and visual arts. As an original member of Game Amp, she continues to utilizes it’s curriculum, programs and projects as the backboard for Experience, and as a vital support for Skills Development and Enrichment. Maranatha’s goal is to become a producer and an educator of holistic medical practices. Our musical inspiration is The Lambsbread, formed on the mystical island of Kauai, and currently based on Maui, The Lambsbread is one of the foundational roots reggae artists' of Hawaii. Delivering a positive message of love & unity, they are known around the world for their conscious message and hard roots riddims.
