Bestselling author, Barbara Ankrum, writes both contemporary and historical romance set in the west where she has spent much of her life. After a successful career as a commercial actress, she turned her creative energies to writing the stories she loves to read. Her emotional, character-driven books have been twice nominated for RWA’s prestigious RITA award, won numerous RT Awards and she was thrilled to have her contemporary Christmas book, "HOLIDAY HEARTS," adapted into a highly rated 2019 HALLMARK Movies and Mysteries movie. 

With two grown children, and a husband who still, after all these years, supports her writing career (and, survivor that he is, has learned to cook dinner) Barbara and her family recently moved to Texas—whose prairies and big skies are inspiring all kinds of new western stories.
