Today on Khu Khem we will continue with our series on the nTrw, this time with a focus on the nTr Anpu. Anpu is one of the most important nTrw and plays many critical roles in the Kemetic tradition. He is a teacher, a guide (the archetype of the Traditional African Priest), a healer, and the gatekeeper and protector of the Higher Sciences, the "mysteries," the deeper aspects and knowledge of Self. Traditionally, before one could enter into the shrine of a nTr, Anpu had to first be offered to, and In turn Anpu would s.Htp (satisfy) the nTr, allowing us to approach. This is a common theme throughout traditional African spiritual traditions in the respective "openers of the way." In truth, as the nTrw are the forces that are responsible for and operating behind whatever happens in life, if are to attain Htp (Peace, Satisfaction), we must first bring the nTrw to a state of Htp, and before we can appease them, we must first take care of Anpu. In this way we ensure that "The Way is Open" to our Peace and success in life.
