"America is experiencing a Hope Crisis," says Dr. Rosiland Tompkins. During today's episode of Strong Lives, Dr. Tompkins shares her story of hope and how the work that she does today led to the declaration of April as the National Month of Hope with Dr. Trevicia Williams.

Four years into her recovery from addiction, in 1991, she started the non-profit organization, Mothers In Crisis, Inc. where she has helped thousands of women get free all through the power of hope. In addition, to being president of Mothers In Crisis, She's the published author of several books including, “As Long As There Is Breath In Your Body, There Is Still Hope” which will be released April. She's also the founder of the National Month of Hope which is in April. This April will be the second year of celebrating, and, one of the honorees is the author of Becoming and former first lady, Michelle Obama.
