Join host Amy Zellmer as she chats with Dr. Stephanie Mills and Brooke Mills about National Concussion Awareness Day -- September 15, 2017.

Dr. Stephanie Mills is a chiropractor and mother to Brooke, a teenager who suffers on going Post Concussion Syndrome.  Dr. Stephanie believes in the power of the body to heal itself and has guided thousands of patients towards optimal health through chiropractic care.  Stephanie is proud of her daughter's passion to help others and has supported Brooke's efforts to increase concussion awareness.

Brooke Mills is an 18 year old concussion survivor and the founder of National Concussion Awareness Day. Brooke suffered a concussion in a mandatory gym class during her freshman year of high school.  When traditional medical treatment failed, she sought alternative care and a path toward healing.  After realizing so many concussion survivors feel misunderstood and not supported, Brooke became a peer to peer speaker for schools in her state.  Brooke has used stories of her physical, academic, emotional and social struggles to inspire others and educate as many people as possible on the reality of concussions.
