Callers welcome between segments. Liseners who have not hear TUC Radio are in for a treat. The show's producer, Maria Gilardin writes about her show and her calling:"We became independent radio producers before the age of computer editing and internet distribution. Alternative Radio and WINGS were my inspiration. David Barsamian presents most of the really famous names in radio, Frieda Werden works with and for women. I decided to focus on themes such as globalization, corporations, ecology, Native Nations and climate change. Recently I sat in a restaurant and opened my mail. When I told the waitress that I was going to order a desert after all because I had just received a check with a donation she said that she wished to live like I do, with so much trust in the kindness of strangers. Please remember that you can affirm that trust and be that stranger whose gift will have an immediate effect because I live that close to the edge. Now, in October 09, I have just a little over $800 in the bank and in twenty years my balance has never been higher than $7,200. Nevertheless in 17 years I have not missed a single program." Tonight a two-part special broadcast of Maria Gilardin's TUC Radio featuring edited portions of the new DVD "Collapse" here are excerpts from her introduction: "Shot in only two days in May 2009 in an abandoned warehouse in Los Angeles the film has become an internet sensation. Pirated almost 2 million times before its official release as DVD in June 2010 the film has undercut the censorship of oil and money. "
