This weekend Tim Carpenter reporting for the Topeka Capital Journal delivered a head turning article, "GOP candidates asked to take Loyalty Oaths."  The comment section, with over 100 posts, gives one an idea of how fed up Kansans are getting with the ultra-conservatives in the Kansas legislature.

Also in the weekend news Wichita Eagle reporter Dion Lefler writing in the Kansas City Star (what's that all about?) "Kansas Senate president says Manhatan lab funding at risk." 

The lab referred to is the National Agro-Defense Biological Facility (NBAF) which an estimated 160 million in state and local tax abatements coupled with a construction budget of over 650 million was slated for North central Manhattan, Ks.

It's one of the most dangerous boondoggles the bipartisan babies sucking on the federal tit ever contrived for Kansans.
