Program Schedule, Monday, 5 August, 2013

Counterspin, the radio magazine from Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR) - 30 min.

Featured guest, Sen. Steve Morris, is a former Republican member of the Kansas Senate, representing the 39th District from 1993-2013. He was Senate president from 2005-2013. Previously, from 1977 to 1993, he was the president and vice-president of the Unified School District 210 Board of Education. He is a farmer from Hugoton, and is married to Barbara Morris. From an August article last year by John Celock at Huffington Post: "Senate President Steve Morris (R-Hugoton), who lost his own seat to state Rep. Larry Powell in the primary, confirmed that internal polls showed moderate Republicans in the lead until roughly three weeks ago when a series of conservative groups launched radio and television attack ads on moderates, tying them to President Barack Obama and claiming they supported Obamacare. Seventeen out of 22 moderate Republican Senate candidates were defeated Tuesday, a culmination of a bitter GOP war that has engulfed the state since 2011."
