A survivor, speaker, grant consultant, trainer, organization founder, and incest awareness expert, Suzanne Isaza is breaking the code of silence surrounding incest and sexual assault. She is the founder of the Sexual Assault Advocacy Network (SAAN), an organization with a very active Facebook group designed to support survivor-advocates in their mission, create a community of activists to cross-train, mentor, and network each other, and keep advocates inspired. She is the creator of IncestAWARE.org, the first-of-its-kind web resource on the topic of incest. Suzanne is also a freelance grant consultant and nonprofit writer. You can learn more about her at SuzanneIsaza.com.
Suzanne and Dr. Vanessa Guyton https://vguyton.wixsite.com/hushnomore will be discussing intimacy and sex after sexual abuse and other trauma. They will be exploring how sexual assault has affected intimacy, the abuse dynamics that make sexuality challenging, strategies for overcoming traumatic responses during sex, advice for partners seeking to better support the survivor in their life, ways they have communicated with partners to navigate intimacy difficulties, and more.
