Prior to the pandemic, there was a subtle and slight shift going on in America regarding the view of fatherhood, especially where stay at home fatherhood is concerned. There was a very slight uptick in appreciation. Circumstances often economic in nature may force many a family to make decisions that best benefit the groundedness of the children of a family at the “expense” of the fathers ego. Since then and because sheltering in place is something so many dads were forced/mandated to experience,  no matter what you may have thought about stay at home parenting/fatherhood before, it is all the more appreciated and even in some cases (mine) desired
